Micro Brewery

Inside The Stables Pub & Restaurant is the Micro Brewery, producing eight premium quality real ales for you to enjoy in the relaxed atmosphere of the stables or at home as well as in some of the best pubs in the region. Head Brewer, John Taylor, insists on using only the finest ingredients and time-honoured methods to produce a range of beers for traditional and modern tastes alike that are best described as Simply Gorgeous.

Beamish Hall Best Bitter (3.8% ABV)
Traditional Yorkshire bitter with slight toffee and green apple flavour.

Beamish Hall XB (4.0 ABV)

Dark red bitter malty with a cherry flavour in the finish.

Old Miner Tommy (3.7% ABV)
Very pale golden bitter, refreshing session ale.

Bobby Dazzler (4.2% ABV)
A golden premium made from lager malt and traditional English hops.

Bell Tower (5% ABV)
A strong rich dark stock ale with dark chocolate and coffee flavours.

Beamish Burn Brown Ale (4.5% ABV)
A red north eastern style brown ale. Full bodied malty ale.

Copy Lane (4.2% ABV)
An Irish stout with coffee and dark chocolate flavours with a hint of liquorish.

Silver Buckles (4.4% ABV)
India pale ale. Light golden biscuit with a grapefruit finish.


From Bull Lane now brewed at The Stables

Neck Oil (4.2% ABV)

A blonde session beer delicately hopped with English goldings and claimed to cure all manner of things including baldness flat feet and face ache.
