This 18th century stable block has been lovingly restored into a restaurant and micro brewery with exceptional warm and friendly service. Whether it be curling up in front of crackling log fires during the winter or enjoying the sun in our fabulous courtyard for summer fresco dining, The Stables is the perfect solution for any family gathering, working lunch or night out friends.
Our classic traditional menu offers a mouth watering selection of dishes for you to sample. Our Chefs use ingredients sourced from local farmers and producers wherever possible, supporting local producers in the process.
With a love for real ale our expert brewer John Taylor has masterfully created eight real ales offering a selection from Indian pale ales to stouts named after the local area.
Ideally located to the rear of the pub is our adventure Playground. You can relax in the sun while the kids let their imagination run wild! It features Zip Wires, Tower Slides, Adventure Trims Trail, Climbing Net and the ledge climbing wall all in view of your watchful eye.
Plus, did you know that the Stables is situated next to Beamish Wild Adventure Park and Beamish Wild High Ropes course where you can really discover your wild side?
Summer Fete
Sunday 30th June
Door Open 10 am till 5pm
Come along and enjoy all the fun of the fete with local produce stalls, arts and crafts stalls and fun for all the family.
Let the little ones have fun at the Fairground including mini cups and saucers, bouncy castle, inflatable slide and hook the duck. Learn some circus skills from our skilled masters or have fun on the tractor rides, giant climbing trees but watch out for our giant bugs!
You will also find a dazzling array of locally sourced produce from local meat to the finest baked cakes before finishing off with stalls filled with personalised gifts, handmade from our local artisans.
