Beamish Hall Wedding Suites

Our Grade II listed Country House in Durham stands proudly amongst 24 acres of picturesque parklands, whilst remaining beautifully secluded within the rolling hills of The Derwent Valley. This twelfth century hidden treasure has played to some of the most elegant and romantic weddings in the North East, whilst remaining fun and full of character. A truly unique setting

Celebrate your love at Beamish Hall, A truly unique setting and gay friendly wedding venue for couples. Allow the historic grounds and luxurious wedding suites to play a picturesque part of your big day as you say I do. Have the choice of an exclusive wedding or our fabulous wedding collection.

Monboucher

Stunning bay windows overlook the acres of parklands, leaving you with a beautiful back drop for your perfect day. Over the years we’ve kept these fabulous original features which complement The Monboucher perfectly, as well as a separate bar area to relax with a Whiskey or a Mojito after the dancing shoes are worn through.

Winter Gardens

This spectacular suite has a marquee style roof and stunning terrace with large windows overlooking the grounds. The winter garden can accommodate a minimum of 80 and a maximum of 280 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 300 for the evening. Beamish Hall is also available for venue only enquiries, where specialised areas of catering are required.

Shafto Hall

A magnificent suite complemented by oak panelling, stained glass windows and minstrels’ gallery. Perfectly suited for a classical or vintage look with endless decor and lighting possibilities. The suite can seat a minimum of 70 and up to a maximum of 120 guests for your wedding breakfast.

Outside Ceremonies

Amidst the tranquil grounds lies the beautiful Winter Gardens Terrace. Getting married outdoors has, over the years, been the dream of many of our brides. One of only a few county Durham hotels licensed for outdoor wedding ceremonies, the terrace can accommodate up to 120 guests and is the perfect complement to your country house wedding.
